Decode is an app that helps you understand confusing social situations. Enter a scenario—like a puzzling text message or awkward workplace interaction—and get AI-powered insights about what's likely happening, why, and what you might do next.

How do I get started?

Download Decode from the App Store, create an account with your email, and you're ready to start decoding! The app includes 5 free analyses per month, or you can upgrade to Pro for unlimited access.

Is my data private?

Yes! Your data stays on your device. When you request an analysis, only that specific scenario is sent to Anthropic's API—no personal identifiers are included. We don't have servers that store your data. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

What are the different modes?

Decode offers specialized modes for different contexts:

How accurate is the analysis?

Decode provides likely interpretations based on common social patterns, but it can't know the full context of any situation. Every analysis includes a confidence level so you know how certain the insights are. Use the analysis as one perspective, not as definitive truth.

What is the Communication Coach?

The Communication Coach helps you draft responses to tricky situations. Choose what you want to accomplish (clarify, set a boundary, apologize, etc.), customize the tone and style, and get suggested messages you can edit and use.

Can I save my analyses?

Yes! Tap "Save to Notebook" on any analysis to keep it for future reference. You can review, search, and organize your saved analyses in the Notebook tab.

Is Decode a replacement for therapy?

No. Decode is an educational tool to help understand social situations. It is not therapy, counseling, or professional advice. If you're struggling with mental health, relationships, or life challenges, please seek support from a qualified professional.

How much does it cost?

Decode is free to download and includes 5 free analyses per month. For unlimited access, upgrade to Decode Pro at $9.99/month or $79.99/year (that's just $6.67/month—a 33% savings).
