By downloading, installing, or using Decode (the "App"), you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
Decode is operated by Decode LLC ("Decode," "we," "our," or "us").

You must be at least 13 years old to use Decode. If you are under 18, you represent you have permission from a parent/guardian.
To use Decode you must create an account using a valid email address and password. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account.
We may also offer additional sign-in methods in future versions (for example, Sign in with Apple or Google), which may be subject to those providers' terms and policies.
Decode provides AI-generated suggestions and analysis for informational and educational purposes only. Decode does not provide:
You should not treat outputs as professional advice or as the sole basis for important decisions.
Decode is not a crisis service. If you are in immediate danger or experiencing thoughts of self-harm, contact emergency services immediately (U.S.: call/text 988 or 911).
AI outputs may be inaccurate, incomplete, biased, or inappropriate and can misinterpret context. You are responsible for evaluating outputs and deciding how to act. Verify facts independently where needed.
You may use Decode for personal, non-commercial purposes consistent with these Terms.

We may suspend or terminate access for violations.
You retain ownership of the content you submit. You grant Decode a limited, non-exclusive license to process your content solely to provide the App's functionality (including sending content to AI services when you request analysis/generation).
Decode relies on third-party services including Anthropic (AI processing), Supabase (authentication), RevenueCat (subscriptions), PostHog (analytics), and Sentry (error reporting). Your use may also be subject to those services' policies.
If you purchase a subscription:
The App and its content (excluding your content) are owned by Decode LLC and protected by law. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works except as permitted by law.
Your use of the App is governed by the Privacy Policy.
You may stop using the App at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms, for security reasons, or to comply with law.
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE." TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, DECODE LLC WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO DECODE IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR (B) $100.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; those limitations apply only to the extent permitted.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Decode LLC from claims arising out of your content, your use of the App, or your violation of these Terms or law.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, excluding conflict-of-law rules. Any disputes will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Colorado, and you consent to jurisdiction and venue there.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will update the "Last updated" date and provide notice of material changes within the App or on our website.
